We're Cooper and Tanner Shea, two brothers from Stratford, Connecticut, and Follies started the way most good things do: a shared obsession with digging through racks for something nobody else had.
Long before Follies was a business, it was Saturday mornings at thrift stores and estate sales, flea markets in parking lots, and the thrill of finding a piece that felt like it was made for exactly one person. We grew up believing the best clothes have a history, and that a shirt someone wore for ten years has more character than anything fresh off a factory line.
It was mostly Cooper's idea to turn that habit into something real. He'd been talking about starting his own thrift store for years, and eventually his brother Tanner came on board too. That's how Follies became a real thing instead of just a couple of guys with too many clothes.
That's the whole idea behind Follies. We hunt, we sort, we pick the pieces worth a second life, and we bring them to you. Every item in our shop is one of a kind. Once it's gone, it's gone, and something new takes its place.
We're not trying to be a big-box thrift experience. We're two guys from Connecticut who still get genuinely excited when we find a great piece, and we want you to feel that same thing when you take it home and make it yours.
